Captain Kooks - Stoke on Trent

Captain KooksWelcome to our website. Captain Kooks opened on the 20/3/1995 at that time there was nothing like it around a combination of the uk favourite "fish and chips" and full English breakfast with hot and cold sandwiches to take away or eat in, with such a varied menu including steaks and omelette’s Captain Kooks soon became very well known not only for the quality of the food but for the waitress service which was fast and efficient.

I moved to Cyprus at 18 on my own to help my uncle open a restaurant during that time i learned how to wait on tables and cook at a high standard and at 19 i was managing it for my uncle i always had ideas of coming back to the uk to open a take away diner before i came back i decided to do my national service during that time i chose the name and logo of captain Kooks whilst on long guard duty on the green line i thought of captain kooks captain of the cooks( meaning number one) ...and because of the way stokies talk i spelt it kooks, so Captain Kooks was born.

Captain KooksWhen i came back to the uk i just needed to find the premises, my parents did have fish and chip shops in stoke for many years and so combining the take away with the restaurant skills i had learned it seemed to make perfect sense to create the two together.

I hope you enjoy your time at Captain Kooks. If you have any suggetions, complaints or general questions then please email us here..
